Every property and Starlink project is different. This guide explains the practical factors considered during professional installation and helps you prepare informed questions before work begins.

Use the account connected to the affected equipment

Support needs to identify the correct terminal and service line. Sign in through Starlink's official app or website and confirm the property, equipment, and plan before opening a request. An installer cannot access or control a customer's private Starlink account unless the customer is present and intentionally authorizes limited assistance.

Describe the problem with a timeline

State when the issue began, whether it is constant or intermittent, what changed beforehand, and the exact app message. Include local time and dates for repeated outages. Replace vague statements such as “it is slow” with observable details such as affected devices, wired versus Wi-Fi behavior, and whether the app shows an obstruction or cable warning.

Attach evidence that narrows the cause

Useful evidence can include screenshots of app status and outage history, photographs of the terminal, mount, cable, connectors, router lights, and visible damage, plus results from more than one device. Remove private information from images that is not needed. Never climb onto a roof solely to photograph equipment.

Professional help is available

Need help with this on your Starlink system?

Mann's Starlink Contracting provides owner-installed service throughout Kentucky and an 11-state region.

Document safe troubleshooting already completed

Report whether power was confirmed, the system was given time to restart, multiple devices were tested, a wired connection was checked when available, and weather or local power problems were ruled out. Do not repeatedly factory-reset equipment, splice a cable, or disassemble sealed components unless official instructions specifically call for it.

Keep one organized support thread

Add requested information to the existing request instead of opening several tickets for the same incident. Save the ticket history, shipment details, replacement authorization, and any return deadline. If replacement equipment is offered, confirm exactly which components must be returned and which may remain installed.

Know when to involve the installer

Contact Starlink for account access, billing, network service, activation, warranty, or replacement authorization. Contact the installer for mount movement, cable-route damage, roof work, relocation, or on-site inspection. Sharing the support conclusion with the installer can prevent unnecessary labor and ensure the correct replacement part is available.
